Nigeria: Chukwueze, Nwabali joins Hawks camp, Osimhen anticipated

AC Milan winger, Samuel Chukwueze, and Chippa Joined’s goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali have shown up the Super Hawks camp in Abu Dhabi, Joined Bedouin Emirates in front of the Africa Cup of Countries in Ivory Coast,

The appearance of the team has seen the quantity of players in camp ascent to 19.

The Falcons are in Abu Dhabi for a one-week instructional course that until next Thursday. They are supposed to show up in Lagos that very day, prior to making a beeline for Abidjan January 10.

As per the group’s media official, Babafemi Raji, the group started their arrangements for the AFCON competition charged to hold from January 13 to February 11 on Wednesday night.

“Preparing will begin tonight (Wednesday). Please be aware that we are in a closed camp at the moment, and information will be restricted until January 6. Hold on for us as we escalate arrangements in our bid to have a mainland vanquishing AFCON crusade,” Raji composed.

Still expected in camp are William Troost-Ekong, Victor Osimhen, Francis Uzoho, Umar Sadiq, Kelechi Iheanacho and Alhassan Yusuf.

The players in camp are goalkeepers Olorunleke Ojo and Stanley Nwabali, safeguards Kenneth Omeruo, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, Zaidu Sanusi, Bruno Onyemachi, Chidozie Awaziem, Ola Aina and Brilliant Osayi-Samuel.

The midfielders currently in Abu Dhabi are Alex Iwobi, Forthright Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika and Joe Aribo, while the advances in camp as at the hour of documenting in this report are Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukuwze and Victor Boniface.

The Falcons are supposed to play two pre-competition friendlies against Burkina Faso and Cape Verde in front of the 2024 AFCON.

Nigeria, which won the AFCON in 1980, 1994, and 2013, is in Group A with the hosts, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea Bissau. They want to win a fourth title in Ivory Coast.

Their most memorable game will be against Central Guinea January 14 at the Ebimpe Olympic Arena, prior to confronting has Ivory Coast January 18, while their last gathering game will be against Guinea Bissau January 22.
