
Nigeria: Borno police capture two women, eight others for killing cop

Men of the Borno State Police Order have captured 10 people for supposedly killing a police constable in Maiduguri, the state capital.
The suspects, two females and eight guys, are Usman Audu, 20; Hauwa Usman, 20; Aisha Musa, 19; Abba Bala, 20; Sunday Garba, 21; David Paul, 35; Mohammed Abubakar, 19; Jude Eze, 37; Amaechi Abdulsalam Afochibe, 37; also, Nduibuse Nnaji, 34.
The killed constable, Babagana Mala, was connected to the order’s Police Break Unit and sent to Malari, the Konduga Nearby Government Region of the state.
The state Chief of Police, Mohammed Yusufu, while strutting the suspects before writers at the order base camp on Tuesday, said the occurrence happened along the Mounted guns region, Maiduguri, around 4.27pm on Sunday.
Yusufu said, “The police constable, who returned home (Maiduguri) on consent, was wounded with a sharp item on his back by his aggressors.
“We comprehend there was a fight between the criminals and the constable before he was cut.
“On receipt of a trouble call from the area, the police watch group answered and took the casualty to the Maiduguri Expert Emergency clinic where he was subsequently guaranteed dead.
“Police secret agents got a video clasp of the occurrence from a decent Samaritan which prompted the capture of the suspects.”
He said a legitimate examination would be directed before the suspects are charged in court.
