Nigeria: Benue State Police Disrupt Arms Production Syndicate, Apprehend Ritualist, and Thwart Robbery Gang

Vanguard News reports that Benue State Police Command recently dismantled an arms manufacturing syndicate in Adikpo-Vandeikya.

The operation also resulted in the apprehension of suspected armed robbers and ritualists in Makurdi. About 20 suspects were arrested, including Fater Terkula and Jem Demesugh.

 Firearms, ammunition, tools, and a motorcycle were seized from their hideout. Additionally, robbery suspects Ushahemba Ayoough and Jeremiah Ugborgo were arrested, and a locally fabricated barretta pistol was recovered. Another arrest involved a suspected ritualist, Godspower Oghenerumu, and his accomplices conducting ritual activities in Makurdi. Investigations into these cases are ongoing.
