Local Vigilantes Eliminate Four Bandits After Attack in Kebbi State

In a successful counteraction, local security agents, commonly known as Vigilantes, thwarted an attack by bandits in Dan-Umaru village, Bena District, Kebbi State. The Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Ahmed Idris, shared the information in a statement released to journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.

The Director of Security at the Cabinet Office, Birnin Kebbi, AbdulRahman Usman, reported the positive outcome. Vigilantes strategically positioned themselves, neutralizing the bandits during their assault on a village near Dan-Umaru, which borders Dadin Duniya in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

According to Usman, the victim of the attack is currently undergoing treatment in an undisclosed hospital. He highlighted the swift response of the vigilantes, who ambushed and successfully killed all four attackers as they retreated to Zamfara State. The deceased bandits’ bodies were taken to Dan-Umaru village. The incident unfolded near the Dan-Umaru border, adjacent to Dadin Duniya in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
