Intense floods and landslides have submerged homes in Budalangi, western Kenya, killing nearly 200 people and forcing about 100,000 to flee.

Heavy rain over the past three weeks has caused floods and landslides in the country. Government has evacuated people from flood-prone areas, but says the prolonged disaster is ”complicating the fight against the coronavirus”.

Kenya has so far recorded more than 550 COVID-19 cases and 24 deaths.
