Gambia’s Trade Minister receives Asian investors

Gambia’s Trade Minister, Hon. Amadou Sanneh , has on Monday, December 3, 2018, received a 15-man delegation of investors from South East Asia at his office in Banjul. The investors from Malaysia, Taiwan and Mongolia have expressed their desires to invest in The Gambia’s printing sector, construction industries, amongst others.
The delegation was led to the Trade Ministry by a Gambian businessman Kebba K. Krubally.
Trade minister Sanneh lauded the initiative, describing it as timely. He said they are currently working on plans to encourage more investors into the country, while assuring them of his Ministry’s support.
Businessman Thanksier Chunchuan from Malaysia presented their area of focus which includes construction, technology and agriculture.
The Director of Industry and Investment at the Ministry of Trade, Hassan Sering Gaye, also lauded the initiative, adding it will help to promote trade and create job opportunities for Gambians.
