GACH-Mining Company donates D235,000 to Brufut VDC, Sports Committee, others

The Gambia Angola-China Holding Global Group Mining Company has on Saturday through its West Coast, Site Manager, Amadou Manneh donated a sum of eighty-five thousand dalasis (D85,000) to the Brufut Sports Committee.
The gesture comes following a request for support in the form of sporting needs.
Similarly, the Mining Company on the same day presented a sum of one hundred thousand dalasis (D100,000) to the Brufut Village Development Committee.
Kartong Sports Committe also benefited a sum of fifty thousand dalasis from the Mining Company.
All these gestures is in fulfillment of its corporate social responsibility and to contribute to the development of sports in the country.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Brufut Sports Committee, Lamin Basse Bojang, while expressing delight, thanked GACH Mining company for their ‘timely intervention’.
The donation, he added, would go a long way in addressing the sporting needs of their community.
“On behalf of the Brufut Sporting Committee, I am thanking the GACH Mining Company through Mr. Manneh for granting our request. The sport has sent a letter to the administration requesting some funds to facilitate our final, so, here we are today, presenting those monies to the sports committee and VDC On that note I am thanking GACH through the Site Manager Mr. Manneh for granting our request. It will go a long way in complementing many efforts; we are looking forward to many fruitful engagements with you.”he stated.
Amadou Manneh, West Coast, site manager of the GACH Mining Company, said his ambition is to have a very cordial relationship with the entire community under one umbrella of development.
He reminded that one way of doing that, is by giving financial and material support to communities concerned.
“I am very happy to bring this token for the Brufut Sports and Village Development Committee just to have a brotherly relation with my company, I will always help communities in such a way for a better relationship. ” he stated.
Receiving on behalf of the Brufut VDC, Chairman Bojang, thanked the company for the gesture, which he said, would go a long way in solving their urgent needs.
Ousman Camara, a representative, who receiving on behalf of Kartong Sports Committee, thanked GACH Mining company on behalf of the committee, for the gesture.
