FRSC Nabs 28 Traffic Offenders in Ondo

The Ondo State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has successfully apprehended 28 individuals involved in traffic offenses in the past month across the state, with the majority of arrests occurring in Akure and its environs. Sector Commander Ezekiel Son’Allah emphasized the severity of driving against traffic, urging motorists to adhere to traffic rules to prevent accidents. He specifically addressed the danger of moving against traffic, highlighting the common occurrence among motorcycle riders.

Son’Allah called for self-discipline and adherence to proper lane usage, especially during the ember period. He advised against drinking while driving and urged respect for FRSC officials and other security agencies on the highways, emphasizing their role in protecting and ensuring road users’ safety.

In a related development, the Nigerian Navy Forward Operating Base in Igbokoda, Ondo State, arrested a 24-year-old man, Tosin Wanlele, suspected of cult-related activities. The Executive Officer of the base, representing Navy Captain Wasuku Alushim, revealed that the arrest aimed to combat cultism and other criminal activities in the military area of operation. Wanlele, confirmed as a notorious cultist terrorizing Igbokoda, was handed over to the Department of State Security for further investigation, demonstrating the base’s collaborative efforts with other security agencies in Ondo State.
