Ekiti Police Capture Duo Involved in N720,000 Goods Theft

Two individuals, Emmanuel Chukwuebuka (23) and Bayode Olufemi (28), faced charges in an Ado Ekiti Magistrate Court on Tuesday, accused of stealing building materials and a generator valued at N720,000.
The police alleged that on November 12, at 11 am in Ado Ekiti, the defendants conspired to commit the felony of stealing, making off with white cement, cement, 70kg of filler, and a Tiger generator.
The charges fall under Sections 421 and 302 (1)(a) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021. The defendants, represented by counsel Adunni Olanipekun, were granted bail of N80,000 each with one surety, and the case was adjourned to January 17, 2024.
