The Official Political race Petitions Council, on Wednesday evening, excused the request of the decision All Moderates Congress testing the qualification of the official up-and-comer of the Work Party, Peter Obi, to challenge the 2023 general political decision.
The APC had declared the LP incompetent and challenged Obi’s membership.
Equity Abba Mohammed, an individual from the five-part board that read the lead judgment, expressed enrollment in an ideological group is an interior undertaking.
President Bola Tinubu and VP Kashim Shettima had battled that they had the locus standi to initiate the request because Obi just joined the LP a couple of days before the political decision, rather than the obligatory 30 days.
Nonetheless, the court held that it was not the right of Tinubu and Shettima to challenge Obi’s nomination.
Mohammed said, “The issue of enrollment of an ideological group is an interior party undertaking.”
