On Thursday, a handwritten note thought to have been left by the mother was found beside an abandoned newborn baby.

As per MIMIMEFO, the child was found early Thursday morning next to Mideno in Ntefinki quarter in Nkwen, Bamenda, North West district of Cameroon.

The infant was found about six in the morning. In the wake of advising the quarter head and different specialists, the youngster was taken to the Wellbeing Place where he was affirmed to do well in wellbeing,” the report added.

The mother wrote in the handwritten letter that she had no other option because she had no one to rely on or provide for the baby.

“I am sorry I had to do this,” she wrote. Because I want my baby to have a happy life, I had no other choice.

“I have nothing; no one to help me and nothing to start a small business that can sustain the baby and me.

“Please help me take good care of him and I pray God bless and grant your heart desires. The baby’s name is Migael and he was born on the 26 April 2023. He has taken his first vaccine which is “BCG” and is still to be circumcised. God bless you and your household. Thank You.”

“He was also taken to the hospital and medics confirmed he is safe and sound,” the founder of the Reach Out Organization, whose collaborator found the baby, stated.
