Brazil: As part of their investigation into the riots on January 8, Brazil police conduct additional raids

Brazil’s federal police said on Tuesday they were conducting new raids as part of an investigation into the riots in Brasilia on Jan. 8 in which supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro stormed government buildings. The news was reported by Reuters on April 18.

They were serving 16 preventive capture warrants and 22 hunt and seizure warrants in seven states and the government locale, where Brasilia is found, a proclamation said.

The strikes address the 10th period of an activity sent off in mid-January to distinguish individuals who partook in, supported or encouraged the uproars, in which a group attacked and stripped the Congress, official castle and High Court.
