2018 UN Fellows of People of African Descent: 13 chosen out of 800 applicants

A total number of 13 international participants were chosen out of 800 applicants for this year’s UN Fellows of People of African Descent programme held in the second largest city in Switzerand, Geneva.
The chosen ones are representives from Norway, Denmark, UK, USA, China, Canada, France, Colombia, Honduras, Brazil, Philippines, Jamaica and Switzerland. “We had the honour to spend time with the High Commissioner of Human Rights Michelle Bachelet (Former President Of Chile and former Executive Director of UN Women ) at Palais des Nations Tuesday November 27, 2018,” said one of the participants from Norway, Mrs Neneh Bojang.
Mrs Bojang who is also the Vice Chairperson of Gambia House Project and Norway’s Rep at the 2018 UN Fellowship in Geneva, said they have learned valuable lessons on perseverance in leadership and being truthful to what one can deliver and what one cannot and to also accept that we cannot be perfect at everything.
