Ultimatum for Gambian teachers

 

The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has issued a press release, urging teachers who were on a sit-down strike to go back to school and continue their job .
The Minsitry further threatens that the said teachers are given an ultimatum of 24 hours to return to class, otherwise, disciplinary measures will be taken against them. 
The teachers were on a sit-down strike since Monday, demanding salary increment and other incentives but did not have the backing of the Gambia Teachers' Union.
